Hi to all you lovely people who love the Father God of our Lord Jesus Christ and are struggling with condemnation (guilt) in your walk with Him. I did for a long time in my own life but by His grace and love has taught me a few things on the subject and these are my own thoughts from my personal studies on the subject. I start with this study called Eternal Life as I believe that it is of great importance to understand what has happened to you in the born again experience. Trust this will be of help to anyone searching for the reality of the Christian experience. Be blessed.
Eternal Life is the reason for Jesus’ coming and the primary object of the plan of redemption.
John.10:10. (KJV) “I am come that they might have Life (Zoe) and that they might have it more abundantly.
1John.1:1-2. (Amp) We are writing about the Word of Life, Him who existed from the beginning, Whom we have heard, Whom we have seen with our own eyes, Whom we have gazed upon for ourselves and have touched with our own hands. And the Life, an aspect of His being was revealed, made manifest, demonstrated and we saw as eye witnesses and are testifying to and declare to you the Life, the eternal Life in Him Who already existed with the Father and who actually was made visible was revealed to us his followers.
The Knox translation says “Our message concerns that Word, who is Life.
1John.4:9. (Wade) God’s love manifested itself among us in this way – in sending His only Son on a mission into the world, that we might have Life through Him.
John6:33. (KJV) For the bread of God is He which cometh doen from heaven, and giveth Life unto the world.
Life has been manifested in Jesus. He is the Life – giver. The reason the Father sent the Son was to give us Eternal Life, the reason Jesus came was to impart to us the God kind of Life, and that is something we receive now not one day when we get to heaven, if you ain’t got it now, you won’t get it after you have passed from this physical realm. In the book of Romans chapter 10 verse’ 9-10 it tells you how to receive this Eternal Life.
Rom.10:9-10. (Amp) Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.
This will be the most important decision that you will ever make in your life, and to receive the God kind of life all you need to do is bow your head and say this simple prayer from your heart.
“Father, it is written in Your Word that if I confess with my mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in my heart that You have raised Him
from dead, I shall be saved. Therefore, Father, I confess that Jesus is my Lord. I make Him Lord of my life right now. I believe in my heart that You raised Jesus from the dead. I renounce my past life with Satan. “I thank You for forgiving me of all my sin. Jesus is now my Lord, and I am a new creation. Old things have passed away. Now all things become new in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
