Hi and welcome to “Abounding Grace” once more. In the last session we looked at the Father Fact and I would like to encourage you to meditate on what we studied, I think as Christian’s we should be established in the Father Fact, and our oneness with Him. If you remember the Word encourages us to be established in grace and in that lesson we said the word established means: To be rooted, to be founded and grounded. It also means to demonstrate and to show. So I would like to say that every believer owes it to himself to be rooted, founded and grounded in the Word of God so that he can demonstrate and show the world that the God of the Christian is alive and active in the lives of His people.

Eph.6:10. (Amp) In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].

We are to be strong in the Lord, the Amplified Bible says that means we are to be empowered through our union with Him, we studied that in the Father Fact, we saw how we are one with Jesus and the Father and we can only be one with Jesus if we are living in the Word and the Word is living in us. The Father has no pleasure in weak and feeble children; He loves them, will care for them, shield and protect them, but He has no joy in them. He has never made one of His children sick and nor has He ever hurt one of them. He never oppresses them, and finds no joy in them being broke and in lack. The truth is that God has provided strength and grace for all.

2Cor.9:8. (Amp) And God is able to make all grace (every favour and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].

As God’s children we owe it to ourselves be established in the Word, we are to be fixed and founded on the word; we are to be so grounded in the Word that the Word becomes the final authority in our lives to settle any questions that may arise in our minds.

Eph.4:14-16. (Amp) So then, we may no longer be children, tossed [like ships] to and fro between chance gusts of teaching and wavering with every changing wind of doctrine, [the prey of] the cunning and cleverness of unscrupulous men, [gamblers engaged] in every shifting form of trickery in inventing errors to mislead. Rather, let our lives lovingly express truth [in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]. Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him Who is the Head, [even] Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part [with power adapted to its need] is working properly [in all its functions], grows to full maturity, building itself up in love.

Every child of God should know what he is in Christ Jesus; know it thoroughly so that no matter what happens he stands, unaffected by the circumstances. He should know what Christ is to him, what Christ has done for him and what Christ is doing for him now.

Eph.1:3-7. (Amp) May blessing (praise, laudation, and eulogy) be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) Who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual (given by the Holy Spirit) blessing in the heavenly realm! Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love. For He foreordained us (destined us, planned in love for us) to be adopted (revealed) as His own children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will [because it pleased Him and was His kind intent] – [So that we might be] to the praise and the commendation of His glorious grace (favour and mercy), which He so freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favour.

This threefold knowledge should be part of our daily equipment:

  • What Christ is to us.

1Cor.1:30. (Amp) But it is from Him that you have your life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made our Wisdom from God, [revealed to us a knowledge of the divine plan of salvation previously hidden, manifesting itself as] our Righteousness [thus making us upright and putting us in right standing with God], and our Consecration [making us pure and holy], and our Redemption [providing our ransom from eternal penalty for sin].

  • What Christ has done for us.

Col.1:12-14. (Amp) Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God’s holy people) in the Light. [The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, In Whom we have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins.

  • What Christ is doing for us now.

Hebr.7:25. (Amp) Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost (completely, perfectly, finally, and for all time and eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them.

We should be established in the fact that God is for us and that no enemy can successfully come against us.

Rom.8:31-33. (Amp) What then shall we say to [all] this? If God is for us, who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?] He who did not withhold or spare [even] His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all [other] things? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect [when it is] God Who justifies [that is, Who puts us in right relation to Himself? Who shall come forward and accuse or impeach those whom God has chosen? Will God, Who acquits us?]

We should all know about the indwelling Holy Spirit and we ought all to be God inside minded.

Phil.2:13. (Amp) [Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.

1John.4:4. (Amp) Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world.

Thank you for joining me to-day I trust you were blessed by the Word of truth and that as you go your merry way that you will also share the Word with the people you come into contact with and make known the fragrance of His presence everywhere. Have a happy day.

If you have never accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour then now is the time to do so, let to-day be the day of salvation for you by praying the following prayer from your heart and accepting the free gift that God is offering you:

“Father, it is written in Your Word that if I confess with my mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in my heart that You have raised Him from dead, I shall be saved. Therefore, Father, I confess that Jesus is my Lord. I make Him Lord of my life right now. I believe in my heart that You raised Jesus from the dead. I renounce my past life with Satan. “I thank You for forgiving me of all my sin. Jesus is now my Lord, and I am a new creation. Old things have passed away. Now all things become new in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

If you have prayed the above prayer then go and study the Eternal Life document for a greater understanding of what you have been given by God your Father.
